Is mercury always a liquid?

    At room temperature, it would usually be a liquid. However, mercury also evaporates slowly at room temperature, becoming a gas as it does so. Mercury can even be frozen at -38.72 degrees Celsius. It also alloys with other metals easily, and can be found as a solid through those alloys.
