Ban Fracking in State Parks and Nature Preserves

Target: State Representative Cliff Rosenberger, Ohio Speaker of the House

Goal: Don’t allow fracking in Ohio’s state parks and nature preserves.

As fracking continues to destroy the natural landscape of the United States, even nature preserves and state parks are not safe. As a result, one Ohio lawmaker is demanding a ban on fracking in these important sites. His stance must be supported.

State Representative David Leland has proposed a bill that would ban fracking in state parks and nature preserves. This bill will go far to protect the little untouched land Ohio has left. “We can run an economy, we can get our energy needs…and still preserve the state parks and nature preserves…not only now but in the future,” Representative Leland says.

Fracking has destroyed lands and lives across the United States. Sign this petition to demand Representative Leland’s bill be voted on and approved.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Representative Rosenberger,

Fracking has destroyed landscapes, robbed endangered species of their habitats, and has polluted water across the nation. This practice must be brought under control. Representative David Leland has proposed a bill that would ban fracking in Ohio’s state parks and nature preserves, protecting what little untouched land Ohio has left.

His solution is one of common sense, one that would protect the environment and still stimulate the economy. I demand that you give Representative Leland’s bill a chance on the floor and that you and your fellow congressmen and women approve this compromise that would protect our planet.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
