Not exactly. While Hurricane Bill is picking up steam in the Atlantic region, most hurricane researchers say that this season won’t be that bad. The main reason is that El Nino will shear off storms because of the warm winds that it creates. While the hurricane season is volatile and a big hurricane could pop up at any time, it looks like this season won’t be that bad.
