Any low lying region close to the ocean will be adversely affected if global warming is to pan out the way most people think it will. If temperatures continue to rise, the polar ice caps will continue to melt, and that will cause a rise in ocean levels. Any low elevation islands, coastal cities, and things like that could be in serious danger of getting their feet wet if the ice in the oceans turns into water.
