Would you support the development of Bus Rapid Transit in your city if it meant that there would be a lot of road construction over the next few years?

    If that was the only kind of rapid transit option we had, I would absolutely support it.  However, I would much prefer that we went with rail–either subway, or high-speed lines.  Rail puts a lot less smog in the air, and bus congestion has been associated with asthma rates.  In Boston’s Dudley Square, they’ve actually proven there’s a direct link between the two factors.
