Most definitely. There are even some good buys on forks/spoons/knives that can be found for packs of 30. For the sake of not having my thrown-away cutlery decompose in a landfill for the next 1000 years, I would go with the biodegradable anything.
I would totally pay more for biodegradable plastic cutlery and biodegradable cups and so on. The added costs should be just included in the price. If people don’t want to pay the extra costs they can bring their own cutlery or cups. It would be a good way to change habits.
