Well, as far as I see, that may result in an opposite trend if anything. Especially considering how many years United States military is in Afghanistan and Iraq and still didn’t manage to scare the opponents into giving up. On the other hand, green technology may actually help. Fuel is very important to run vehicles and generate electricity, and supply convoys are one of the easiest and most attractive targets for the opposing side – up to the point where 7 gallons of fuel is spent to deliver 1 gallon in Afghanistan. So now the army is being equipped with solar panels, wind turbines, smart grids, biofuel-from-garbage producing and burning generators, and tests biofuel for use in vehicle engines.
