Would more reflective buildings in urban areas help combat global warming?

I am not sure what you are referring to as far as reflective. White is the most reflective color, and the simple act of painting roofs white and building with white concrete could certainly help to combat global warming. This is because of what’s known as albedo. The earth absorbs some solar radiation and reflects the rest out into space. The amount absorbed is called the albedo. A large scale change in the color of our surfaces exposed to the sun could increase the albedo and lower temperatures.
