This depends on what you mean by efficient. If efficient means keeping the house cool, then yes, mirrors would make a house more efficient in that respect. However, if it’s winter time and you’re trying to warm your house, then mirrors would not be effective at that job. However, even though mirrors might help you to keep your house cool during the summer, there are better and cheaper ways to help control the temperature of your house. One of the best ways to do so is through the use of weather stripping which is very cheap and easy to install. By sealing your house and keeping it from leaking cool air during the summer of hot air during the winter, it makes your heating and cooling devices much more effective.
