Would a green economy create more jobs than a non green economy?

In the beginning stages, a transition from a traditional capitalist economy, to a more, green economy would of course produce more jobs. These jobs would be to create the infrastructure necessary to sustain and grow a green economy, such as renewable energy and renewable business etc. In the end however, it would be safe to say perhaps that the number of jobs would even out, as people who worked in traditional, non-green jobs would be out of work, such as coal miners or oil rig operators.
