Would eating insects be green?

I’ve eaten grumbs and grasshoppers and there is certainly nothing particularly un-green about it. As long as it is in moderation the environmental impact is minimal. Now as far as compared to our consumption of domesticated animals, i.e. cattle, pigs and chicken, insects would actually have a lesser impact on the environment considering the amount of grain it takes to feed livestock and the methane produced by cow herds.
