Wind energy doesn’t seem to be as efficient as coal or nuclear power, with a relatively lower output, as well as presenting a hazard to birds and possibly to people during storms.
It seems like at the moment, more pollutive forms of energy like coal are more cost effective, but as these finite sources deplete, their cost will go up and up, wheras wind is unlikely to rise in price (except for the turbines themselves, wind is free.).
Wind energy seems relatively costly, though it works well economically in the long run, especially when used in conjuction with other forms of energy, like solar or a reduced form of coal power.
