Yes!! Recovery time allows your muscles rest–essentially, what cause them to grow are tiny tears that band back together. This is the soreness you’d feel after a good workout. However, if you continue to work them without allowing any time to recover, you will hamper your progress, and possibly hurt your muscles badly. I cannot stress enough how good rest is for your body. Happy workout-ing!
It is best to let them rest and regenerate to reduce the risk of muscle atrophy. If you tire out your muscles they won’t grow, but shrink instead. Allowing them to rest gives the fibers in your muscles a chance to regenerate and become stronger. Hope this helps!
