I think that the economy is slowly starting to see revitalization and the government will soon stop pouring money into stimulus packages. The cash for clunkers program, while highly successful, cost the government $3 billion dollars. I don’t think that is money they government is eager to spend again. Now that the auto market was spurred, some say for the wrong reasons (see link), there may be little reason to spur it again.
