Will these plans to block the sun really help with global warming?

It would. NASA is looking at a plan to block 20% of the sun’s incoming rays. If we did that, it would be enough to restore the sea ice that has been lost over the Arctic Ocean. However, I think it is a terrible idea. It would only give us an excuse to trash the Earth more than we should. Sunlight is also beneficial to our health; we need the rays for vitamin D. Also, if the plan failed, the Earth would be much worse off than we are now because we wouldn’t have looked for other ways to prevent global warming after finding a plan that works and is easy.
