Will the sludge that washes up on beaches in the gulf eventually go away or do we have to clean it all up?

Only time will tell. If everything works out successfully it can be removed. It is hard to tell how long it will take right now. Only mother nature and patience can improve results.

Eventuually the oil will desolve, but by then the damage will have been done. Most importantly, on the wildlife. The toxins that oil leaves behind, will stay in the food system for years and years. Also, by reducing the numbers of endangered species like sea turtles, we’re giving them even less hope for a healthy recovery.
