I believe so, they are a very public friendly alternative to traditional solar panels – it also depends on there level of exposure to market, and generated consumer knowledge and interest – one of the best ways for this to happen is for large architectural and contracting firms to get behind them and recommend them to clients.
Actually no one is making solar shingles anymore, now that they have thin film. Thin film is the same concept, but can cover you whole roof with not much material.
