eHow.com argues that garlic consumption “may help boost the immune system to keep you from getting a cold.” Garlic can be use as a preventative; when symptoms do appear, a garlic supplement or tea may boost your body’s disease-fighting power and soothe your sore throat and cough.
I don’t know about getting a cold, but eating raw garlic is definitely healthy for you in one way or another. Regularly eating garlic will help you keep your cholesterol low, keep your blood pressure low, and ward off cancer. It’s also high in antioxidants!
If its a cold you’re worried about, try strawberries! They’re really high in Vitamin C (more than oranges!) and they’ll help keep your immune system strong.
Yes garlic has many health benefits. Garlic contains some “antibiotic properties,” it can help as an anti-fungal as well as fight off bacteria and viruses.
