Will the Pacific Northwest ever have water problems?

It’s doubtful. Besides being near the coast and thus getting moisture evaporating directly from the sea, it’s on the windward side of the Rocky Mountains. The Rockies serve as an obstacle for clouds coming off the Pacific and force them to release much of their rain before making it over. That’s one of the reasons this area is so rainy.
