This is a question still being debated by groups and legislators in Minnesota. Presently, the ban is still in effect although two members of a congressional delegation recently pushed for the moratorium to be lifted. The ban has been in effect since 1994. Even if the facilities are eventually allowed there are no plans in the making for a nuclear power plant to be built in the state.
