It is possible for magnets to lose their magnetic properties by being exposed to other magnetic currents, heat, radiation, or strong eletrical currents like those found in power lines. Though most of the time these magnets can regain their magnetic properties, there are times when they will permanently lose it. In very high temperatures, with specific degrees depending on the material of the magnet, the magnet will suffer irreversible and unrecoverable losses.
