A study has shown that tonsilectomy does not always mean that you will not get sore throats. Also, the procedure is much more common in children. It’s generally used if you get strep throat or other bacterial infections.
Not necisarilty. It depends on why you get sick. If it is from strep throat or tonsilitis, then yes, it could help you to become less sick. But if your sick with a cold or flu then it probably won’t help you. It can sometimes help with laryngitis, too, but not always. Hope this helps! 😀
