Car exhaust can kill you because it contains Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide is found in cigaretts also. Carbon Monoxide is very dangerous and it is poisonious.
Yes. AS sj99 mentioned, inhaling car exhaust in great enough amounts will cause carbon monoxide poisoning, which is deadly. That is why, unfortunately, it is a common way to commit suicide, or even murder, as the link below mentions. Carbon monoxide poisoning causes death because our bloodstreams pick up CO more readily than oxygen. In great enough amounts, this can cause CO to replace oxygen in the blood, which means that oxygen can’t get into the body where it needs to be to allow vital functioning to continue. This damages tissue and causes death.
