Dung beetles are generally considered to be beneficial insects. They reduce fecal material thus reducing the habitat for flies and helping to incorporate the nutrients in the feces into the soil. So while they may not be beneficial to you unless you use animal dung as a fertilizer, they certainly won’t harm your vegetable garden.
