Will beef jerky last forever?

In general, commercial, vacuum-packed beef jerky has a shelf life of at least one year without refrigeration.  Under ideal storage conditions, some beef jerky can even last for up to two years.  If you want your beef jerky to last longer, freezing is recommended.

Nothing lasts forever.  But beef jerky has one of the longest shelf lives of all types of food.  Store it in proper conditions and it’ll last a few years at best.
