In the wild what would cows use their horns for?

    Cows would use their horns much like goats, antelope, elk, moose, and many other horned mammal: defense, establishing territory, mating ranks, and physical dominance to gain stature within a group.  Horns are also used as display to attract mates, the bigger the horns, the stronger and more impressive the male to mate with.
