One theory regarding methane and the Bermuda triangle help explain problems with aircraft. Studies have shown that methane released from the sea floor then entering the atmosphere has the potential to disrupt the mechanical workings of older aircraft, many of which disappeared in the triangle. This could explain some of the aerial disasters of the region.
