The Board of Supervisors in San Francisco has banned toys from being handed out with meals that do not meet nutritional basics. This ban would include the Happy Meal. Restaurants will be allowed to give toys with meals if the meal contains less than 600 calories. Since the toy was one of the great appeals of Happy Meals, the board hopes that removing the toy will make children eat healthier.
