Why is the tropical weather around the equator?

    This is due to the angle the sun shines on the earth. The poles are colder because the sun doesn’t shine directly on the top of bottom of the globe. The equator on the other hand receives sunlight in almost a straight line, making it a direct point of impact for UV rays.
