Usually there is less moisture in the air when it is cold. It may seem as though there is more because of the dew on the grass in the mornings, but that is only caused by the moisture condensing due to the cold temperature. The cold causes the water vapors in the air to become a liquid, which then forms on the grass. During the winter it is generally a good idea to use a humidifier to increase in home humidity because it falls so much in colder weather.
