Why is there an oversupply of shark carcasses in Greenland?

Because there is so much large net fishing off the coats of Greenland. Many Greenland sharks get caught in these nets, but their meat is toxic to humans and the carcasses are thrown back into the sea. Now scientists are considering using these 20 foot long, 1000 lb. sharks as a biofuel. However, vert little is known about this shark, and using the sharks as fuel could put it and the habitat at risk if the focus of fishing turns to the sharks.
