Population and environmental degradation are the reasons for famine in Africa. Desertification is a huge problem with arable land being used up in the Sahara and Sahel region across the continent in the north. Rising temperatures make hydration for agriculture and struggle. Africa also has one of the world’s largest growing population. More people, plus climate change equals less food for everyone involved.
