The Tesla Roadster is the first EV to use lithium ion battery cells with a maximum range of 245 miles per charge.  The manufacturer also offers a charge kit with adapters that will allow users to plug in to any type of electrical outlet.  The 2010 Tesla Roadster goes 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds with no gears and 295 pound-feet of instant torque.
