Why is spring water so clean?

Spring water is often too hot or too cold to be a good breeding ground for bacteria. In addition, if it is retrieved straight from the spring, it hasn’t traveled far enough to pick up any harmful bacteria or chemicals. Furthermore, it is safer to drink water that is trickling down the rocks, like that being expelled from a spring, than it is to drink any that collects in any area, originating from a spring or otherwise.

It’s clean because the Earth has filtered it. As water travels through the soil, it is cleansed.
