Catcran used the perfect analogy. The common saying “you don’t know what you got ’till its gone” is more true with forests and wildlife than anything else. There are still species that haven’t been discovered all over the world and there are plants that haven’t been experimented with. It is impossible to tell what kinds of medicines are present out in the forests and there is only one way to tell, to experience it. It goes without saying that we cannot experience something if it is not there and this is why it is important to conserve these things because if we lose them, we have no way of telling what we really lost.
