Why is nuclear power not a solution to climate change?

This is a very good and important question. First of all, although nuclear power is technically clean, as it does not burn fossil fuels to provide energy, there is a problem as to what to do with waste storage. Nuclear power emits radioactive waste, which right now, scientists and researchers are figuring out what to do with it. Even more, building nuclear plants is very expensive, mining for ore emits a lot of carbon greenhouse gas emissions, and then when the plant is working, a lot of water will be required. The article below, called “Nuclear power: not clean, not cheap, not safe” goes more in-depth but the title itself says it all.
