Actually, the Nanga Parbat is getting taller. First of all, the Nanga Parbat is located in Pakistan, and is famous for being the ninth tallest mountain in the world. Instead of being part of a mountain range, such as the Karakorum Range, it is an individual peak and one of many in the region for that matter. It is growing as a result of the friction between the Asian and Indian tectonic plates at a very high speed – it grows taller by about .27 inches a year.
