MSG is a toxin that is linked to such diseases as diabetes, adrenal gland malfunction (improper distribution of hormones) , seizures, high blood pressure, excessive weight gain, and stroke. No supported, definitive link has been documented between MSG and these unfortunate illnesses, but if anyone should experience these effects from eating food with MSG, it has been advised to stop immediately. After all, the FDA has not banned the substance or labeled it harmful.
