In some portions of the ranges of the two animals they do not overlap. If you were to see the two together in this area it must mean that one of the two species has moved to that place or was deposited there.
In general deer of different species do not interact. They will stay separate, each having their own biology, so they will not compete with one another. They may feed at different times or utilize slightly different habitats.
