Mass deforestation in Indonesia is rampant for decades to make way to palm oil and paper production. This has made Indonesia the third largest greenhouse gas emitter in the world. The biodiversity in Indonesia is also really high. So many unique and endangered species inhabit there. The global supply chain is causing the country to destroy its forests to serve the demands of multi-million and billion dollar companies. Greenpeace has been criticizing the country for allowing all of this to happen.
