Many types of extreme weather events have become more frequent and intense within the past 40-50 years due to national climate change. Here in the U.S. studies have shown that the temperature has risen more that two degrees F over the past 50 years and will continue to rise more in the future. How much the temperature will rise depends on the amount of heat-trapping gases emitted globally and how senstive the climate is to those emissions. Climate change has a significant impact on the weather conditions that we tend to experience such as rain, heatwaves, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
