Why is Greenland producing so much CO2?

    Greenland doesn’t produce that much carbon dioxide…. On a list of the leading producing countries of the world (which can be found at the second link below) Greenland ranks 171 in the world, only producing 565,000 tons. This data seems dated, for the first link below is recent, and says the country produces 650,000 tons. This is a drop in the bucket compared to the US producing over 5.7 billion tons. The government of Greenland also does not intend on lowering its emissions if it is going to hinder the economic growth. More can be read about that at the first link below.
