Why is gravity so heavy on earth?

A planet’s gravity is in direct relation to it’s mass.  So, earth’s gravity is powerful because of how much mass the earth has.  Our planet weighs quite a bit (although not so much in the universal scheme of things), a whopping 5.9737 x 10^24kg and commands a gravitational force that corresponds with that number.
