Why is global warming so tough on poor nations?

Climate change is so tough on poor nations because they are the least likely to be able to adapt to the changing conditions. Many of the countries that have seen the early effects of climate change are poor and low-lying so they will be the first ones to experience flooding and the rising water temperatures. Less industrialized nations also have a tendency to have a greater awareness of the ecosystem around them and are more sensitive to the changes occurring around them. They have a much more difficult time adjusting, however, to the changes brought on by climate change.
