why is Fisker getting so much money from the government?

Fisker Automotive has been given lots of money via loans from the federal government and have been recently asking for more. “So far, Fisker has been given $193 million” by the U.S. government out of their previously agreed upon $529 agreement. They have used this money to produce the sporty hybrid car called the Karma. Fisker’s sophomore production, the Nina sedan, is the next project around the corner and will likely eat up the majority of that money. One reason why they are renegotiating their contract is because they have encountered unexpected setbacks and delays recently.
