Bamboo is basically a glorified type of grass. That is why it has a very high growth rate. Bamboo grows from roots that extend horizontally under the soil. Thus, it is able to spread very quicly. It may also be harvested nearly indefinitely because new shoots will continue to grow from the roots. Bamboo is a, “miracle fiber” because that is very strong and may be used to replace the harvest of forests. This construction bamboo is commonly used in furniture and flooring applications. Also, bamboo may be used for clothing. It produces a very durable product that wicks moisture just as well as synthetic polypropelene. I have some pajama pants infused with bamboo and they are great!
