Eating meat in huge proportions isn’t sustainable. It takes too many resources, such as water, energy, and food to raise cattle to slaughter and then truck them to the many different grocery stores where they end up. However, in small quantities, eating meat is fine with environment. Try to buy grass-fed beef or sustainably raised meat from your local farmers and/or butchers, and you will find that eating meat can be a part of a sustainable diet.
I agree. Simply put it takes far more resources and energy to create something from which you get far less energy. Moreover, mass produced meat can also be very unhealthy, and is linked to heart disease, high cholestoral, and other ailments.
