Why don’t we eat carp in the US as much as other countries?

Nobody really knows why, but the carp has gotten a reputation of bad eating.  Some experts believe it is because the carp is relatively difficult to clean, its bones are very small, and simply because in the US we have so much choice of fish, carp usually isn’t first on our lists.  That’s not to mention they’re ugly, and they are bottom feeders.  Actually some people are proposing that we eat more Asian Carp to try to keep it from invading the ecosystem in Lake Michigan.
