Drip irrigation is very capital intensive initially, similar to solar energy, and although it brings a great deal of benefits later, this simple fact can price many people out of using it. The following are also listed as possible reasons people many not wish to use it:
1. High maintenance requirements (including plugging of system and difficulties in repairing. )
2. Necessitates higher water quality management
3. Fewer visual indicators of system success as compared to surface irrigation
4. Rodent problems
5. Restricted plant root development…
