Why Doesn’t Water Have A Certain Smell Or Taste ?

Water is a simple compound: H2O, which obviously means 2 hydrogens and one Oxygen. When you break down the water particle into those two molecules you can see why water has no smell or taste. Hydrogen by itself has no smell or taste and neither does oxygen (which is why we CAN smell other odors in the air). Putting together to sources that do not have smell or taste themselves will create another substance that has the same characteristics.
